We are advertising a new position for an R&D Software Engineer in our company. We are a spin-out of Oxford University and develop scientific instruments.

The Company
The company’s unique technology is delivering a disruptive new generation of analytical instruments, which weigh individual molecules with light (Young et al., 2018, Science DOI:10.1126/science.aar5839, bioRxiv DOI:10.1101/229740). The Role
We are excited to announce a new software development position.

The candidate will:
• implement user interfaces for data visualization, instrument control algorithms and real-time data analysis
• provide customers with software support
• work closely with the whole team to deliver Arago technology

The Candidate
The candidate will need a track record in software development and experience in developing code in Python and C++/C.

Essential skills
• Python

• GUI development (Qt, OpenGL)
• Communication with hardware/instrumentation
• Embedded C/Firmware
• CUDA, OpenCL

Employment details
Full-time employee, based in central Oxford, with occasional travel to visit customers and conferences.
