Bristol’s newest synthetic biology spinout, Rosa Biotech is redefining biosensing by combining machine learning with advanced protein design. They are recruiting for three new core scientific roles to drive the development of Rosa’s technology to address intractable challenges in industrial biotechnology and diagnostics.

Developer – Machine Learning and Data

This role will involve working closely with both our scientific research and software engineering teams to build and develop the AI components of Rosa’s biosensing technology. In addition, there are opportunities to establish Rosa’s computational infrastructure more generally, for instance in programming its experimental robotics platforms.

The Head of Research will lead scientific operations for Rosa Biotech. The successful applicant will be responsible for implementing the company’s scientific strategy and will line manage other members of the company’s scientific team. We are looking for a candidate with a strong research background, and ideally with experience of delivering projects within a startup or spinout company.

Senior Scientist – Assay Chemistry

This Senior Scientist will develop Rosa Biotech’s core biosensing platform for use in early commercial applications and long-term development opportunities.
