We are seeking a Research Software Developer for a 2-year fixed term contract starting October 2017. This post is focused on the design and development of a software platform for a technology development project that aims to create a novel visualization, interrogation, annotation and analysis tool for dynamic 3D echocardiographic images.

A key feature of the system will be integration with holographic and /or VR/AR (virtual reality/augmented reality) hardware to enable natural and intuitive interaction with the data. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team of scientists, engineers and clinicians working on this project.

The role is a part of the NIHR funded programme awarded to our multidisciplinary team in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at King’s College London and the Department of Congenital Heart Disease at Evelina London Children’s Hospital.
The primary aim of this project is to investigate and implement an advanced visualization system, using holographic and augmented reality technology, to assist in cardiac surgery planning.

The selection process will include a panel interview, a presentation and a paper discussion.
Interviews are scheduled to be held the week commencing: Early September 2017
