There is an entry-level RSE position available to join the RSE group at the University of Bristol. The position is full time, with two years funding in the first instance. The successful applicant will work with Christopher Woods in the Bristol RSE Group to support the CCP/HEC-BioSim Software Flagship project, BioSimSpace. Together, we will develop C++/Python software that will support biomolecular simulation for the UK academic and industrial (pharmaceutical/agrochemical) communities.
The successful candidate will receive mentoring and training in the RSE group, making this an ideal first position for someone wanting to start a career as a Research Software Engineer. They are looking for an enthusiastic candidate who is willing to learn. A degree or equivalent in science, engineering, maths, computer science or a discipline that employs an amount of computational science is essential, but a PhD is not required.
